Our Story
Lail Family Dentistry has been proudly serving the Duluth, Johns Creek, and Suwanee communities for more than 50 years. Founded in 1969 by Dr. Wallace Lail, the practice was built on a foundation of integrity, compassion, and exceptional dental care.
Today, that same dedication continues through his son, Dr. Slade Lail, and grandson, Dr. Carson Lail, carrying forward three generations of family dentistry and community service. Our team is committed to providing personalized treatment in a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and valued.

Our Doctors
Dr. Wallace Lail - A Legacy of Dentistry and Service
Dr. Wallace Lail has devoted over 50 years to the practice of dentistry and to the community he loves. After completing his pre-dental studies at Emory University in 1961, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1965. He went on to serve in the United States Army for three years before settling in Duluth, GA in 1969, where he founded what would become a family dental practice spanning generations.
As a respected leader in his profession, Dr. Lail became a member of the Hinman Dental Society in 1971, serving as its president in 1995 and as General Chairman of the Hinman Dental Meeting in 1998. Beyond dentistry, he has dedicated decades of service to the Duluth Community, including 40 years as a civil servant and as a member of Duluth City Council. He is also a charter member of the Gwinnett Rotary Club, serving as president from 1983-1984.
Though now retired, Dr. Lail’s impact endures on. The practice he began in Duluth continues under the leadership of his son Dr. Slade Lail and grandson Dr. Carson Lail, carrying forward his commitment to exceptional dentistry and patient care.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lail has always cherished time with his family, his late wife Mary Lail, his three sons, and many grandchildren. He has always enjoyed the outdoors at his cabin in Suches, hunting, fishing, and piloting his restored 1938 Stearman bi-plane.
Dr. Lail’s life’s work reflects not only his skill as a dentist but also his deep devotion to family, community, and service – a legacy that continues to thrive through the generations that follow him.
